RESUMEN La pesquisa tuvo como objetivo precisar las prácticas que caracterizan la elaboración de los fundamentos teóricos en las investigaciones en ciencias pedagógicas. A partir de una muestra de artículos publicados en revistas científico pedagógicas certificadas, se evaluó la actualidad de la bibliografía empleada, su correspondencia con el objeto de la investigación, las relaciones de contenido por la naturaleza de los referentes, el lugar de la cultura en el análisis de esos referentes, y la capacidad del autor para captar esencias. (...) El resultado alcanzado fue la precisión de las tendencias predominantes en la elaboración del marco teórico, frecuentemente caracterizada por la dispersión conceptual y teórica. ABSTRACT The study was aimed at identifying the educational researchers' current practice in constructing theoretical framework. By comparing a sample of articles published in well-established education scientific journals, the authors appraise the update character or references, its correspondence to the research objective, the redundant, developmental or contrasting character of references included the place of culture in the framework construction and the researchers' capacity to figure out salient points and conclusions. The main finding is the identification of current trends in framework construction mainly characterized by a scattering of concepts and theories. (shrink)

En este artículo se presenta un estudio sobre las concepciones que sobre el tratamiento a los errores durante el proceso de retroalimentación en las clases de expresión oral tienen los profesores de Inglés del municipio Florida, para la pesquisa se realizaron entrevistas y se observaron clases que permitieron identificar las principales tendencias en la práctica pedagógica y sus efectos en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Se presenta de igual forma un análisis de los procedimientos y técnicas aplicadas por profesionales de (...) otros países y se formulan recomendaciones que pueden contribuir al mejoramiento de la práctica educativa en el contexto cubano. This paper presents the results of a study conducted among teachers of English of Florida with regard to their conceptions about error correction during the process of feedback in the oral aspects of the lessons in foreign language teaching. Based on the information gathered through interviews and lesson observations, it was possible to identify the main tendencies prevailing in the teaching practice and its effects on students' learning. An analysis of procedures and techniques followed by professionals of other countries is also presented, and recommendations that may contribute to improve teaching practice are made as well. El artículo tiene como objetivo describir las competencias informacionales a desarrollar durante la formación profesional. Se presenta los referentes teóricos a partir del empleo de un enfoque de sistema que supone el análisis y la síntesis, la inducción y la deducción como métodos de investigación, con el propósito de dar conocer los hitos en las universidades y organizaciones internacionales relacionadas. La modelación fue empleada para la construcción de un nuevo proyecto de desarrollo de competencias informacionales desde la perspectiva de la (...) formación profesional universitaria ajustada a las necesidades de la educación superior en Cuba. El nuevo proyecto se configura en tres unidades básicas (acceso, procesamiento y comunicación), con sus respectivos elementos de competencia, saberes esenciales e indicadores para la evaluación del desempeño. El artículo fundamenta la tesis de que el desarrollo de competencias informacionales debe ser sistemáticamente estructurado, planificado y ejecutado como parte integral de la formación curricular en interacción con los contenidos de las disciplinas docentes, bajo la dirección del profesor y la participación protagónica de los profesionales en formación. -/- ABSTRACT -/- The article aims at describing the competence to be developed during professional training. It presents the theoretical referents by means of an approach system that includes synthesis and analysis, induction and deduction as research methods in order to reveal the milestones of information skills development in universities and related international organizations. Modeling was used for the construction of a new skills development project from the perspective of university professional training according to the needs of Higher Education in Cuba. The new project is composed of three basic units (access, processing and communication), with their respective competence elements, essential knowledge and indicators for the evaluation of the performance. The article supports the theory that information development skills must be systematically structured, planned and implemented as an integral part of the curricular training in interaction with the contents of subjects, under the teacher´s guidance and the active participation of profesionals in training. -/- . The main starting point of many of the contributions collected into the book is the kind of Twin Earth considerations, along with meaning individualism. Is Putnam's claim about water in this world and a stuff in an alternative world being different materials?. Is meaning in the head? One seems allowed to be skeptical about the starting point of the debate between such as emphasize broad content and those who think that the basic semantic entities are narrow contents, which would fail (...) to be world-dependent or world-oriented. The kind of motivations prompting the essays collected into the book are likely to be regarded as in need of a deeper elucidation by such as have been more or less influenced by Quine. Pettit & McDowell's collection of essays is one of the books most scholars interested in the confines of philosophy of language and philosophy of mind will find worth reading. (shrink)

In today's world, the corporate image of the largest companies is closely linked to their performance in the field of corporate social responsibility and the disclosure of information on that topic, specifically, on climate change. Since the Board of Directors is the body responsible for this process, the aim of this article is to show the role that companies' Boards of Directors play in the accountability process vis-à-vis stakeholders in relation to one specific aspect which has enormous significance in environmental (...) information: practices used to monitor greenhouse gas emissions. In order to achieve this, we shall verify certain business characteristics, in addition to the size and activity of the Board of Directors, and we shall take different dependence models into consideration. These models will include variables related to the level of independence and diversity of the Board of Directors, which interact with dummy variables representing the company's litigation risks regarding environmental behavior and the institutional macro-context of the organization's country of origin. The results make it clear that Boards of Directors are basically focused on the traditional responsibility of creating economic value, instead of dealing with today's broader business world concepts, which include social responsibility. This focus, therefore, does not favor the accountability process before other stakeholders, if this makes it more difficult to protect the interests of shareholders. (shrink)

The emphasis of systems and synthetic biology on quantitative understanding of biological objects and their eventual re-design has raised the question of whether description and construction standards that are commonplace in electric and mechanical engineering are applicable to live systems. The tuning of genetic devices to deliver a given activity is generally context-dependent, thereby undermining the re-usability of parts, and predictability of function, necessary for manufacturing new biological objects. Tolerance and allowance are key aspects of standardization that need to be (...) brought to biological design. These should endow functional building blocks with a pre-specified level of confidence for bespoke biosystems engineering. However, in the absence of more fundamental knowledge, fine-tuning necessarily relies on evolutionary/combinatorial gravitation toward a fixed objective. (shrink)

En este artículo propongo denominar insondable al concepto de pensar en Heidegger para referirme tanto al pensar como acontecimiento, como a aquello a lo que se refiere el pensar. Se trata, por una parte, del pensar pensante, reflexionante, meditativo que se da precisamente en el tránsito que va de una metafísica de la representación al pensamiento que ha de pensar la verdad del ser. Pero lo insondable hace referencia también al qué del pensar, al misterio del ser que es siempre (...) el misterio de una donación abierta que no se deja encapsular en el férreo dogmatismo de ningún sistema. Lo primero nos sitúa ante el final de la filosofía tal y como ha sido concebida hasta ahora. Lo segundo, ante el inicio de un pensar auténtico del ser que, en nuestra opinión, es a la vez contemplativo y crítico y a la vez que posibilita renovar la relación del hombre con el mundo, con lo ente, marcada por la serenidad consecuente con el cuidado. Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) weaves together rigor and relevance while it improves student achievement and engagement. The Philippine Department of Education implemented Indigenous People’s education to respond to the demands for culturally responsive teaching. Teacher education graduates are expected to articulate the rootedness of education in sociocultural contexts in creating a learning environment that recognizes respect, connectedness, choice, personal relevance, challenges, engagement, authenticity, and effectiveness. Practice teachers need relevant exposure and immersion to fully develop their competence in CRT. This scenario (...) necessitates attention to assessing the competence of 191 practice teachers in CRT, correlating their competence across dimensions, and verifying the role of gender and degree programs in competence development. This investigation provides evidence on the role of gender in competence development toward culturally responsive teaching. Such competence is vital in practice teachers, especially because they are exposed to learners with diverse backgrounds during their teaching internship. This evidence informs supervising instructors in molding practice teachers. (shrink)

The influence of Saint Augustine in the existential analysis of Being and Time is highly recognized and is always a source of fruitful research. Our work, however, will try to discover the elongated shadow of the bishop of Hippo in the definition of the task of thinking, and therefore in II Heidegger, from what we will call the salvation of the vital-existential moment of the experience of the encounter with the absolute. It is investigated here, then, the possibility that the (...) fundamental notes on which, in our opinion, the mystical experience that is inferred in the Confessions can count as formal indicators of what is the heideggerian notion of meditative thinking. The main goal of this work is to place the Regional History of Education into the broader context of general history and to create a theoretical structure that includes its main approaches and characteristics while avoiding the frequent confusions and oversights with which it is often associated. Our outline of regional history alludes to its conceptual foundations, defines the object of its analysis and also identifies the convergence of factors that shape this area of study, such as genealogy, multicentrism, comparison (...) and social synthesis. Once these different aspects have been described it will be easier to understand that the past is not only a dependent variable of time but also, to a great degree, of space. (shrink)

RESUMEN Frente a la hybris de la subjetividad que culmina en el proyecto moderno-humanista, surge la necesidad de pensar de otra manera la esencia del hombre ya sin el lastre de toda la tradición filosófica occidental. Este viraje que Heidegger imprime al pensar se explica aquí desde lo que denomino tesis para la reconstrucción de un posthumanismo en la perspectiva de la kénosis y que se resume en: la superación de las leyes de la gramática y el acento en el (...) decir poético; el reconocimiento del mientras tanto de la existencia humana finita siempre en camino; y, por último, el preciso abajamiento del pensar tal y como corresponde no ya a la incontestable potestad del señor del ente sino a la esencial pobreza del pastor. ABSTRACT Before the hybris of subjectivity that culminates in the modern-humanist project, there arises the need to think the essence of man, in another way, a way already without the burden of the entire western philosophical tradition. This turn that Heidegger gives to thinking is here explained from what I call: thesis for the reconstruction of post-humanism in the perspective of kenosis, which can be summarized as overcoming the laws of grammar and accent in the poetic saying, recognition of a meanwhile of the finite human existence always on its way and, finally, the precise reduction of thinking as it corresponds not to the power of the lord of the being but to the essential shepherd’s poverty. Information Retrieval systems benefit from the use of long queries containing a large volume of search-relevant information. This situation is not common, as users of such systems tend to use very short and precise queries with few keywords. In this work we propose a modification of the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) technique using data from the document collection and its vocabulary for a better representation of short queries. Additionally, a study is carried out on how the modification of the proposed (...) LDA weighted vectors increase the performance using relevant documents as feedback. The work shown in this paper is tested using three biomedical corpora (TREC Genomics 2004, TREC Genomics 2005 and OHSUMED) and one legal corpus (FIRE 2017). Results prove that the application of the proposed representation technique, as well as the feedback adjustment, clearly outperforms the baseline methods (BM25 and non-modified LDA). (shrink)

El presente artículo invita a considerar la dimensión política de la obra de Lorenzo Hervás y Panduro como una pieza crítica que desde el universalismo de la filosofía cristiana replantea la reelaboración moderna de los ideales cosmopolitas antiguos (de raíz cínica uno, estoica el otro). Con este fin, en primer lugar, se descubrirán al lector los debates literarios, políticos y científicos que explican la aparición de los volúmenes del Viaggio estatico dentro de la Idea dell’Universo. A continuación, al subrayar (...) la peculiaridad literaria del Viaggio dentro de la Idea, la calificación de su interlocutor como Cosmopolita, se analizará cómo Hervás respondió con ella a la ideologización del término por obra del Cosmopolite (1751) de Fougeret de Monbron. Finalmente, se contrasta la reacción del Hervás posterior a la Revolución francesa con el giro estoico del cosmopolitismo que representa la obra del Kant del período crítico, desarrollada entre 1781 y 1795. La sección que tengo el placer de presentar está formada por cinco artículos muy diversos en cuanto a su objeto y su enfoque. No obstante hay dos rasgos que comparten. El primero es que versan sobre los problemas clásicos de la Filosofía del Lenguaje como el concepto de convención, los usos no literales del lenguaje, la determinación de la referencia, las implicaturas conversacionales, la sustitutividad en contextos oblicuos, la presuposición o la distinción entre significado descriptivo y expresivo. El segundo es (...) que todos ellos tratan de ofrecer respuestas a estos viejos problemas partiendo del análisis crítico de algunos de los enfoques más influyentes de la Filosofía del Lenguaje actual.
